Free broadband to help home schooling

The council is working with Community Fibre and Hyperoptic to provide free broadband to residents that are having difficulty accessing school work at home.

Summary of offers

Community Fibre Hyperoptic
What they are offering? 50Mbps fibre broadband service for a period of 12 months. 50Mbps fibre broadband service until 31st August 2021.
Eligibility criteria Have school-aged children learning from home

Don’t have access to reliable broadband at home (slower than 50Mbps)

Live in a Community Fibre connected building*

Have school-aged children (under 18) learning from home

Don’t have access to reliable broadband at home (slower than 30Mbps)

Are tenants of the local authority

Live in a Hyperoptic-connected building

*If your property is not in a Community Fibre connected building they will work with your landlord to see if they can deliver connection.
